Japanese Tea Presentation

Interested in Japanese cultural traditions?

The Fort Worth Botanical Garden is hosting a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony presentation, also known as Sado, Chanoyu or Ocha in Japanese March 17th, 2018.

Japanese Tea ceremonies involve ceremonial preparation and presentation of Matcha. Matcha is a powdered green tea made from the tips of shade-grown Camellia Sinensis Plant, (Camellia Sinensis Plant) it is then cooked, stemmed, and deveined and stone-ground into a fine green powder.

Tickets are $30 per person and include a reserved seat to watch the tea ceremony performance and a question and sample session.

Tubes, tunes and brews!

Sunday Funday is a fun, family-friendly summer outing that unites your love of water sports, music, food and drinks. Float the river, relax and have a good time! Attendees are encouraged to bring their own tubes, as well as lawn chairs and blankets. Pets on leashes are allowed, outside food and drinks are not allowed. Beer, water, and soda will be available for purchase, and food trucks will be on location.

No tickets are required, and parking is FREE. Tube rentals are $5 all day, and pedal boats are $20/hour. Other rentals (kayaks, canoes, paddle boards) available on certain dates. Sunday Funday is happening every Sunday from June 24 to September 2, 2018.

Live music, fireworks and fun!

Celebrate the Fourth of July with an old fashioned family fireworks and picnic. Presented by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, come see the best fireworks in town. This event is family friendly, and you are encouraged to bring your own picnic to this all-American celebration on our nation’s Independence Day.

Entrance is free for children 10 and under with an adult ticket, $25 for adults, and up to $55 for reserved seating.
