Do you want to unleash your creativity and make something great with your own two hands? Then you can’t miss this Maker Fest at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History!

You’ll get a chance to meet talented local makers and roboticists at this event. You’ll also get to participate in fun activities like designing your own wearable art or building circuits from unexpected items. Maker tools like Arduinos, a programmable circuit board, will also be available if you’d rather play around and make your own special creations.

All of these awesome activities are included in the price of admission to the museum, so there’s never been a better time to visit!

The Wizard of Oz Musical 0 31

The Wizard of Oz, a classic musical that your whole family will love, is coming here to Fort Worth in May!

The Casa Mañana Theatre is putting on this special production. You’ll get to see all of your favorite songs from the movie, including “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” and “If I Only Had a Brain,” performed live by a talented cast. This musical also features new music from Andrew Lloyd Webber. Even if you’ve seen the movie a bunch of times, there’s still plenty of reasons to go see this exciting new adaptation!

Shows start at 7:00 PM on weekdays. Afternoon shows are available on weekends. Tickets start at $25, but you can get some of the best seats in the house for $43.

Empty Bowls Food and Shopping Event 0 27

Too many people in our community go hungry. Tarrant Area Food Bank is trying to change that and make sure everyone’s bowl is full with this fantastic charity event.

Local artisans will be selling more than 4,000 handcrafted bowls at this event. Over 40 local restaurants will also be there to serve up bowls of delicious food. If that’s not enough entertainment for you, there’s also going to be a silent auction, a raffle, and live demonstrations from talented woodturners and glassblowers!

General admission tickets are $65, or $75 at the door. You can also purchase special VIP tickets that get you reserved seats and early admission for $150.
