Jazz Festival at the TCU School of Music 0 788

For over 40 years, TCU has been hosting a jazz festival that brings high school musicians together with the TCU music faculty and renowned guest artists. This year, the festival will feature jazz legend Duffy Jackson!

Duffy Jackson is a talented drummer who has performed with Sammy Davis Jr. and dozens of other jazz greats. He’ll be performing in the faculty concert on Friday night at 7:30 PM and with the TCU jazz ensemble on Saturday night at 7:30 PM. Tickets for those concerts are available for just $10. You can also watch the high school ensembles perform for free on Saturday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

America Strong Fourth of July Symphony Concert at Dickies Arena – July 4, 2021 0 434

No doubt this past year has been tough. The Fort Worth Symphony is giving an ode to the country’s perseverance by hosting a one-night virtually and socially distanced performance at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth. People can tune in live on WFAA on Channel 8 or go buy tickets to go in person. Either way, you’ll be able to enjoy the beautiful masterpieces played by the talented Fort Worth Symphony.

Adventures in Color is a multimedia performance by the Singing Girls of Texas that explores music as a visual and performance art. The Adventures in Color concert and Color Festival (where the concert will be performed) is sure to be a visionary delight whether seen online or socially distanced in person.

Each piece that will be performed was carefully hand-selected for its connections to different colors. The audience (online and in-person) will be able to feel these come alive as the student-led groups have worked tirelessly to develop an imaginative visual concept to go along with each musical piece.
