Fort Worth stockyards rodeo show cattle and cowboys and horses

Join the Fort Worth Stockyards as they celebrate the history and heritage of the American Cowboy with this family-friendly event with activities and events happening throughout the day. This cowboy celebration will give families, friends, and visitors of Fort Worth a chance to learn, experience, and appreciate the role of cowboys in history and the present day. Check out the schedule of events at the end of this post!

This celebration includes a Cowboy Celebration Parade, live musical performances, a fiddle contest, cow milking, Old West Comedy Gunfight Shows, calf rope training, armadillo races, and more! See below for more information and the itinerary.

America Strong Fourth of July Symphony Concert at Dickies Arena – July 4, 2021 0 1735

In-person and online viewings available.

No doubt this past year has been tough. The Fort Worth Symphony is giving an ode to the country’s perseverance by hosting a one-night virtually and socially distanced performance at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth. People can tune in live on WFAA on Channel 8 or go buy tickets to go in person. Either way, you’ll be able to enjoy the beautiful masterpieces played by the talented Fort Worth Symphony.

When: Sunday, July 4, 2021, starting at 7:30PM

COVID-19 precations directly from the Fort Worth Symphony: “In an effort to keep all musicians, staff and patrons healthy and safe, the FWSO will implement the same guidelines it has enforced throughout its 2020-2021 season for the America Strong concert. Patrons will be required to wear masks throughout the performance, social distancing protocols will be enforced, and tickets will only be available on mobile devices.”

Adventures in Color Concert & Color Festival – May 15, 2021 0 1952

Adventures in Color is a multimedia performance by the Singing Girls of Texas that explores music as a visual and performance art. The Adventures in Color concert and Color Festival (where the concert will be performed) is sure to be a visionary delight whether seen online or socially distanced in person.

Each piece that will be performed was carefully hand-selected for its connections to different colors. The audience (online and in-person) will be able to feel these come alive as the student-led groups have worked tirelessly to develop an imaginative visual concept to go along with each musical piece.
