The Fort Worth Opera Festival is featuring an amazing lineup this year! There are going to be few different productions, including Zorro, La Bohème, and Die Fledermaus. Zorro is a brand new opera by talented composer-librettist Héctor Armienta, so it’s sure to be a treat. And you can’t go wrong with La Bohème, a tragic love story, or Die Fledermaus, a story of revenge. We can’t wait to enjoy all of the wonderful music, sets, costumes, and stories that the Fort Worth Opera Festival has in store!

Tickets for each opera are available on the Fort Worth Opera website. If there’s one you’d really like to see, make sure you get your tickets early!

Mother’s Day Brunch at the Fort Worth Zoo – May 9, 2021 0 563

This Mother’s Day 2021 take your mother out to a beautiful day at the Fort Worth Zoo (aka the Best Zoo in the Nation) to enjoy a nice celebratory brunch. After brunch, you’ll be able to enjoy the fresh outdoor air and walk around and see all the amazing animal exhibits including the new and improved Elephant Springs exhibit opening on April 15th.

According to the Fort Worth Zoo, each ticket includes:

  • Brunch at the Reserve in the African Savanna
  • A meet-and-greet with the Zoo’s outreach animals
  • Giraffe feeding experience
  • One monarch adoption package for Mom

All proceeds benefit the Zoo’s adoption program, which supports the care and feeding of the Zoo’s animals.

COVID-19 precations directly from the Fort Worth Zoo:
“To help ensure the safety of Zoo staff and guests, the Fort Worth Zoo continues to follow CDC guidelines regarding food safety. All food will be served by masked and gloved catering staff, multiple buffets with plexiglass partitions will allow for social distancing, and tables will be placed six feet apart. We strongly encourage guests to continue to wear face coverings when in the park and not eating or drinking.”

One of the best parts of summer is attending cookouts, so we can’t wait to go to this one at Alliance Town Center! A bunch of local food trucks are going to be there to serve up some delicious eats. There will also be classic lawn games like potato sack races, soccer darts, laser cones, and more. Once it gets dark, there’s going to be a big campfire and a cowboy storyteller to tell tall tales. And to commemorate the night, you’ll be able to take photos in a fun photo booth set up on the lawn!

Get your lawn chairs, coolers, and tents ready, because you won’t want to miss this event!
